Love Island fans left fuming as epic Games series starring Maya Jama begins – saying ‘it just doesn’t make sense’
LOVE Island fans have been left fuming as the show’s spin off series with Maya Jama got underway.
The special edition of the hit dating show is taking place in a villa in Fiji.
Called Love Island: The Games, it sees nine iconic islanders from the UK series compete with worldwide contestants from the franchise.
Maya Jama is hosting the show, which officially kicked off on Wednesday on streaming platform Peacock.
Narrated by Iain Stirling, the islanders face dating, eliminations, re-couplings, and newcomers’ arrivals – all while competing in challenges.
However, fans have been left furious after realising they aren’t able to tune in.
Due to rights restrictions, only US viewers can tune into the show.
At a later date ITV2 are expected to air the series, however, it’s likely spoilers will find their way online before then.
Reacting to the news, one fan said: “Love Island games streaming on PEACOCK of all places just doesn’t make sense to me.”
A second wrote: “Don’t understand why Love Island games is on peacock and not ITV but okay.”
“How can you watch new peacock programs on the sky app in the uk? Love island games aired last night and I can’t find it on the app,” said a third.
While a fourth commented: “Someone tell me where to watch Love Island games for free.”
