I thought I had the perfect wedding guest dress until everyone pointed out a major flaw that even the bride didn’t spot
IT can be tricky to find the perfect outfit if you’ve been invited to a wedding – but the one rule guests should follow is to never upstage the bride.
One woman has split opinion after showing a picture of the dress she wanted to wear to an upcoming nuptials.
The embellished mini dress had a halterneck and a satin-looking skirt – but it was the colour that sparked a debate.
Taking to Reddit, the woman queried: “Is this too light/ close to white for a wedding?
“I’m a guest.”
The woman added that her husband “loves it so much” and even the bride has said she’s ok with it.
She continued: “I feel like it is [too white], my husband loves it so much, the bride said she loves it (but I feel like she’s just saying that).
“What do you think?”
Many people took to Reddit to share their thoughts on the dress, and many said it was too white for a wedding.
One wrote: “This looks more pinkish but in certain editing/lighting could appear white. It also looks too bridal. Find another dress!”
Another added: “Too white/bridal, lovely for another event.”
And a third commented: “Definitely too light. Plus this material will look even lighter in all the pictures.”
Meanwhile, one said: “If you have to ask, the answer is no.”
However, some people said there was nothing wrong with it for a wedding, with one person saying: “I don’t have a problem with the colour or material but it’s what you’re comfortable with.”
