Jorgie Porter returns to Hollyoaks as she shares first look at Theresa McQueen’s comeback
HOLLYOAKS star Jorgie Porter has returned to the set and began filming for her new scenes as Theresa McQueen.
The 35-year-old actress took to social media to mark her return to Hollyoaks after nearly one year away while on maternity leave.
Jorgie welcomed her first baby Forest, her son with fiancé Ollie Piotrowski, back in December 2022.
On Thursday, the I’m a Celeb star posed for a mirror selfie while on the Hollyoaks set and wrote: “So it’s been a while… You missed me? #hollyoaks #mcqueens”
The actress looked fabulous in a hot pink two-piece outfit and a pair of stylish block heel boots in white.
The blonde beauty showed off her sensational toned figure and styled her hair in a glamourous up do.
Fans rushed to the comment to share their excitement that the iconic Theresa will be returning to the village.
One said: “Can’t wait to see the @themissyporter playing Theresa we’ve missed u so much!”
Another wrote: “Yay glad you back in Hollyoaks.”
A third penned: “Yass she’s back.”
Jorgie has played Theresa McQueen on the soap since 2008.
Before the character left in June 2021, Theresa confronted George who had been abusing John Paul.
But when George went to attack Theresa, Sally hit an ornament across his head killing him.
Theresa then covered up the crime by hiding the ornament.
Earlier this year, Jorgie revealed that she had no idea what was in store for her character before talking about the prospect of juggling her role with a newborn baby.
She said: “I have no idea what Theresa is going to be up to, or what she’s done, it’s going to be a full year since she’s been back, surely their imaginations will be running wild.
“Obviously you do think ‘Oh my god I’ll be away from my baby’ because you are with them for 24/7, so I am a bit worried about what will happen.
“I’m not going to lie, it is a bit daunting, and I think all mums are a bit like that.”
This comes after the actress shared her terror after her home was hit by burglars who jumped the fence last week.
In an Instagram video, she said: “I’m really upset and really scared and angry that our house was almost robbed last night. People tried to get in.
“They came over the gate. Obviously it’s been planned because all the cables have been cut.
“The Wi fi has been cut in the area. Our alarm was taken off the wall. They’ve really planned it. Sick.”
She added: “I want to say thank you to the police for turning up really quickly last night – and how many there were. It actually made us feel a little bit safe.
“I’m just so angry. Why would people want to come? It’s just so upsetting. I hope nobody is put in this position because it’s really horrible.”
Jorgie concluded, referring to the people who attacked her home: “I hope they just get what’s coming to them.”
