I’m fuming after being kicked out a nail salon over a ridiculous rule – the manager looked at my hands & said ‘oh no’
A BEAUTY fanatic has explained how an unfortunate incident at the gym led her to getting kicked out of a nail shop.
Fellow gym lovers will know that working out with long acrylics can sometimes be pretty difficult – especially when it comes to lifting weights – and now one woman, Maddie Hen, has revealed why you might be better off with a shorter manicure.

According to Maddie, believed to be from the USA, her love for gym and long nails led her to a major disaster when visiting a beauty salon.
As she explained in a video posted on TikTok, it all started when she was working out by the leg press machine with ”six plates on each side”.
Once she was done with the set, Maddie then jumped off the machine and began to remove the weight plates – and this is where things went horribly wrong.
She went on in the clip: ”I put the 45lbs plate next to the other 45lbs plate and it snaps my finger.
”I rip my hand off – and the whole entire nail just goes…
”Not just the acrylic – my whole fingernail!”
However, unfortunately for the fitness enthusiast, she had also scheduled a photoshoot for the very same day and the nail was in a desperate need of getting fixed.
After wrapping it up, Maddie headed to a nail shop, where she then picked up the colour, as well as the design.
However, much to her surprise, the joys didn’t last long, as the employee then took one look at the destroyed finger and exclaimed in sheer horror.
”Oh no! Oh no! No, no, no, no.”

At some point, even the manager of the salon had popped over to see what the fuss was all about – and quickly noted that working on her nail was not possible.
”He goes ‘No, no. If we do your nail, you will get an infection’,” Maddie recalled the conversation.
”Basically, I got kicked out of a nail salon because my nail is too dang short.”
She warned: ”If you bite your nails, you probably can’t get your nails done.”
As for her photoshoot – Maddie revealed that all of her bikini snaps had a bandaged fingerm posing too.
Since being shared on the platform, where Maddie posts under the username @maddiehen02, the clip has racked up close to 300k views.
Horrified, hundreds raced to comments, where one said: ”Any nail tech or cosmetologist cannot touch any broken skin. Legally not allowed to.
”Wait until it’s healed and always clean it.”
”I mean, at least they are being good people,” a second chimed in.
”Decent salon to not just take your money,” a third agreed.
”My question is why do you have long nails on when lifting,” someone else was baffled.
