Vipers Game Day – Vipers Continue Home Stand Versus Spruce Kings

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers kicked off their three game homestand in a major way on Wednesday night with a 10-2 win.  More importantly than the offensive output was the effort and attention to detail.  They aim to keep putting all the pieces together as they host the Prince George Spruce Kings for the first time.

Last Game:  The Vipers struck five times in the first period on Wednesday night en route to a 10-2 victory over Cranbrook.  Adam Csabi and Nick Mikan each had three goals in the offensive surge.  Hank Cleaves had four assists.  George Stavrianeas and Luke Bibby also registered multi point nights.  Noah Dorey and Lukas McCloskey scored their first goals with the Vipers.  Ethan David had 34 saves on 36 shots.  The Vipers were 1 for 2 on the powerplay and killed off both Buck chances.

Last Game:  The Spruce Kings come into the game having lost two straight games.  Their most recent game was Saturday in Trail, a 7-3 loss to the Smoke Eaters.  Kilian McGregor-Bennett had a goal and assist and Kai Greaves had a pair of assists in the loss.  Ryan Sanborn made 17 saves on 22 shots, while Marcus Ouellet had 15 saves on 17 shots in relief.  The Prince George powerplay has been excellent all year and was 2 for 5.  Their PK killed off 4 of 5.  This is game 2 of 3 straight away from home.
