Amid ethnic strife in Manipur and ahead of Mizoram's assembly elections, the concept of Zo unification has gained prominence. Zo unification entails bringing various ethnic communities, including the Mizos of Mizoram, Kuki-Zomis of Manipur, Chins of Myanmar, and Bangladesh, under a single administrative umbrella. The ruling Mizo National Front (MNF) has pledged to unite these communities if re-elected.
