I’m obsessed with DIY hacks and decked my house out with them… people are always blown away when I point them out
WE all love a hack these days.
Learning tips and tricks can make life a load easier, and in some cases they can help save the bank account from getting touched.
Sarah has completely decked her house out with hacks[/caption]Sarah, who goes by the name of The Northern Home on TikTok, is a big fan of them.
So much so, she’s managed to deck out her home using them – and people are always blown away after she reveals what they are.
In a video, which exposes her hacks, she says: “5 ways my home tricks you.”
Sarah first starts off by explaining how her chequered flooring wasn’t done professionally, and in fact they were ‘peel and stick on’ vinyls which she did herself.
Her next trick was showing how she had hidden wires from the television that had been placed on the wall.
It appears as though the wires go through the wall, but instead they have just been hidden behind a lamp shade.
She says: “The TV cables aren’t hidden in the wall , they are just cleverly hidden.”
The third hack is lights which appear to be screwed into the wall and connected to a socket, but they are actually just battery operated and stuck on.
She says: “The wall lights aren’t connected to the mains, they are battery operated Puk lights.”
Sarah also has wooden panels on her wall which appear to be professional stuck on.
However, she revealed that they are actually “secured with heavy duty command strips.”
Everyone is obsessed with her flooring[/caption] She even did her own DIY garden tiles[/caption]Finally her outdoor tiles are painted and stencilled with masonry paint.
The video attracted thousands of likes, with many rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts.
Many were obsessed with her home, and asking where different pieces of furniture are bought from.
A good few people asked where her tiles are from, to which she replied: “Jes Rose Rinyl.”
Another added: “The neptune bag tricks people into thinking you might have bought something there. Nice touch.”
Someone else suggested: “What if you used white tape on the power cables for the TV? then they would disappear even more.”
