Gurgaon experienced its second day of severe air pollution with an average AQI of 402. Two out of four stations in the city recorded hazardous air conditions. The pollution watchdog has halted all construction work in Delhi-NCR and enforced restrictions due to the continuous dip in air quality. Experts attribute the rising pollution to thermal inversion, trapping pollutants emitted from vehicles, road dust, and farm fires. The situation could worsen if meteorological conditions do not improve. Neighboring cities also reported severe air pollution levels. People with lung ailments are advised to avoid going outdoors.
