News24 | Dept says it's broke as more than 12 000 pupils walk long distances to schools in Eastern Cape

The Eastern Cape transport department has conceded it was struggling to keep up with the demand for scholar transport, forcing 12 000 pupils to walk more than 10km to schools across the province.
