The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs has adopted the draft report on new crime laws with several changes, including gender-neutral adultery law and reduced punishment under Section 353 of IPC. Despite disapproval from several Opposition MPs, the panel has decided to stick with the Hindi names.
