Hurricanes G Frederik Andersen has blood clot, out indefinitely

Medical testing revealed that Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen was suffering from a "blood clotting issue," the team announced Monday.

"There is currently no timetable for his return, but we are confident that Freddie will be able to make a full recovery," Hurricanes president and general manager Don Waddell said in a statement.
