I got my boyfriend’s name tattooed on my forehead – everyone says I’ll regret it but I’m in love and my ink proves it
A BODY-INKED lovebird has gotten her boyfriend’s name tattooed on her forehead.
Though strangers online told her she was going to regret the ink, she says she’s in love and will never be sorry about the decision.
TikToker Ana Stanskovsky (@anastanskovsky), who already has plenty of tats on her body, documented the tattoo process via social media.
“Getting my boyfriend’s name tattooed on my face,” she captioned the first video, which obtained more than 11 million views in one day.
She made several follow-up videos responding to criticism about getting Kevin’s name permanently etched onto her face.
“Wow. You will regret this one day,” one person said.
“Everyone was saying to me: ‘I will regret that.’ But every time I look in the mirror I’m in love,” Ana answered.
“I’m in love with the tattoo and I’m in love with my boyfriend,” she added.
Ana took things a step further, saying everyone should get their lover’s names tattooed on them as well.
“I think if you really love someone, you’ve got to show it,” she said. “You’ve got to prove it.”
“If your girlfriend doesn’t want a tattoo of your name on her face, you just need to find yourself a new girlfriend,” she added.
Ana said she isn’t worried about Kevin breaking up with her because she got the tattoo to show her love. She thinks the ink is “beautiful.”
People in the comments section, however, said otherwise.
“They sell nameplate necklaces. They’d even make sure it was centered for you,” one person wrote.
“Sweetheart, there are so many other ways to show your love,” a second said.
“I’m waiting for the breakup tattoo,” a third wrote.
But Ana’s not worried.
Ana said the face tattoo is how she shows Kevin that she loves him[/caption]“I don’t know why people think getting such a big tattoo on your face is a big deal,” she said.
“And what if we break up? I’ll just have to find myself a different Kevin,” she said before adding: “I’m joking. We will never break up.”
Still, some people are sure she is faking it and this is all an elaborate TikTok prank.
She insists it’s the real deal, sharing a video in which she claimed to be out at a restaurant with the ink on her head.
“Yes, it’s real,” she said. “It’s so fresh, I can’t even believe it myself [that] I did it.
“I haven’t told my mom. I think she’s going to freak out a little bit.
“But I have so many tattoos so it doesn’t really matter.”
In 2021, 26% of Americans have one or more tattoos, per Statista. That’s up from 21% in 2012.
