U.S. dollar ticks up as markets await Powell's speech
NEW YORK, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar increased in late trading on Monday, with investors keeping a close watch on Fed chief Jerome Powell's upcoming speech on Wednesday for additional insights into the forthcoming Federal Reserve meeting scheduled for December.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, rose 0.19 percent to 105.2191 in late trading.
