Weak and tiny
Hello Friends,
Micro conditions, but with the right equipment you can get a (very) little something along south-exposed open stretches. Swell at sea was only 0.8 of a metre from the SE, but because there was some 13 second component, there were a few catchable sets in the knee to waist high range. The wind’s been coming lightly from the WNW-NW since just after midnight, so conditions are reasonably clean under blue skies as the morning kicks off. The wind will pick up during the morning as it goes around to the NE.
With a succession 20+ kt afternoon NE winds, we could see a slight upward trend in the size in the ambient NE wind swell for the early sessions as the week goes along. Maybe.
Have yourself a good one!
Weather Situation
Northeasterly airstream will prevail along the coast as a high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge along the coast while an inland trough lies in the state’s far west. Northerly winds will increase through the mid to latter part of the week as the trough becomes mobile and move east, crossing the southern and central parts of the coast during the weekend with a southerly wind change in the wake.
