Targa roof question on C4.

Looking for suggestions- replaced the B pillar weatherstrip and now the Targa top will not go into the mounting pockets on the halo bar. What is the recommended way to get the new strip to compress enough to remount the roof? This is the first time I ever replaced weatherstripping like this so not sure if I screwed up or not. Or does the mounting pockets on the halo need readjusting?
