Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary tabled the findings of caste survey in the state assembly on Tuesday. It showed that more than a third of families in Bihar survive on Rs 200 or less a day or a maximum monthly earnings of Rs 6,000. Literacy rate in the state has risen from 69.8 per cent as per the 2011 census to 79.8 per cent.
