Woman rescued from burning building in Wallingford
One person was rescued from an apartment fire in Wallingford late Monday.
The blaze was reported shortly before 8 p.m. at a mixed-use building on South Main Street, according to the Wallingford Fire Department.
A woman was rescued from the second story of the building before being taken to an area hospital, fire officials said. No other injuries were reported.
The blaze left considerable damage to the building, which houses a commercial business on the first floor with apartments above, according to fire officials.
The Wallingford Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
