Kaavia James Is an Actual Disney Princess in Enchanting Moments from Her Fifth Birthday Party
Kaavia James’ fairy godmother must be working overtime because she transformed into five different Disney princesses for her fifth birthday. Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade’s daughter (who is showing no signs of Shady Baby on her special day!) looked absolutely enchanting in all of them.
The Perfect Find star posted several photos and videos of Kaavia on her birthday today, and each one is more amazing than the last! In the first photo, Kaavia is channeling Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast in a yellow dress with a rose on the bodice and a matching yellow bow in her hair. She has a sash like Miss America around her chest that simply reads “Kaavia” as she tilts her head and smiles for the camera. What an angel!
In the next slide, Kaavia wears a mint green Tiana dress from The Princess and the Frog, complete with a gold tiara and her face painted. Her parents are dressed like a king and queen as everyone sings “Happy Birthday” to Kaavia and she blows out her candles. She shows grace at the end, thanking everyone for coming to her party.
Slide three is a group photo, featuring Kaavia with her friends and their parents (including Tia Mowry and her 5-year-old daughter Cairo). In this photo, Kaavia is wearing a light blue Cinderella dress with white tulle skirt.
In another video, Kaavia has changed into a blue tank top with silver tiara that is reminiscent of Elsa from Frozen, this time paired with shorts as she goes to an ice cream shop with her friend Crosby. (The two argue over what their dentists said about candy, and the video is so precious!)
Slide 8 is a video of Kaavia’s last princess look. In this one, she’s dancing around her bedroom wearing a blue dress and bright red hair like Ariel from The Little Mermaid. She sings and dances to “Part of Your World,” and it’s so entertaining! She may not be actual royalty, but she’s a princess through and through!
Union also penned a sweet note to her daughter for her birthday. “November 7, 2018 our dream became a reality and our princess @kaaviajames was born,” she wrote in the caption. “I cannot believe she’s already 5?!?! She is pure light and love and brings so much joy to everyone she encounters.”
The Bring It On star also revealed more details about her daughter. “She loves to sing, dance, play Barbie’s and reaaaalllllly loves hanging with her best friends!!” Union wrote. “Sometimes she’s like a roast comedian and sometimes we find her praying quietly (Kaav LOVES the Lord ????????) She is truly 1 of 1 and the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

The comments were full of praise for the little girl. “I mean… Happy Birthday @kaaviajames! We ❤️ you!” Mowry wrote.

“Y’all really brought a unicorn into the world. ????????” another person commented.
Last year, Kaavia had another Disney-themed birthday. Her parents transformed their backyard into The Casa Madrigal from Encanto, where Kaavia dressed up as Isabella in a purple dress with purple flowers. All of her family members dressed up as characters from the film for the epic birthday bash.
“When we do #Encanto we do Encanto,” Union wrote. “We don’t talk about Bruno but we DO talk about Isabela. As if. #ShadyBaby #ToddlerLife.”
The party garnered attention from Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote the award-winning tracks for the animated film. “❤️❤️❤️ hair flip on point! Happiest of birthdays!” he said.
Last week, Kaavia dressed as Cinderella for Halloween, complete with a light up blue dress. Wade (who dressed up as one-half of a peanut butter sandwich with Union) captioned the cute photos: “Our princess everyday of the year ????.” How sweet!
