Prince William links up with Cate Blanchett for the prize-giving at his Earthshot Awards in Singapore
PRINCE William got by without wife Kate at his side for his big-money battle to save the environment — by linking up with a Cate instead.
The Prince of Wales, 41, was joined by Oscar-winning actress and Earthshot Prize council member Cate Blanchett, 54, for the prize-giving in Singapore.

In a passionate speech, he told the audience the effects of climate change were “too visible to ignore”.
He said future generations will look back on this decade as “the moment we refused to accept the voices of denial and defeatism”.
The Prince gave out awards made from recycled brass — plus £1million — to each of the five winners among the 15 finalists who attended the event.
He called them “architects of change towards a healthy, sustainable world”.
Cate added: “The incredible climate solutions from around the globe are cause for genuine hope. We don’t have time for inaction and despair.”
Following the event, William told US band OneRepublic, who performed at the prize-giving’s opening at the 1,500-capacity Theatre at Mediacorp, that Prince Louis, five, was a fan.
He admitted that George was a devotee of veteran rockers AC/DC.
The event, to be shown on BBC One on Sunday at 5.20pm, was co-hosted by Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham and US actor Sterling K. Brown.
