The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations of Afghanistan has announced that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has assisted in the form of 20,000 tents to migrants recently expelled from Pakistan.
On Tuesday, the Ministry, in a newsletter, stated that the aid shipment from the United Arab Emirates, comprising 20,000 tents, arrived at Kabul International Airport last night.
Muhammad Arsala Kharoti, the appointed official responsible for financial and administrative affairs at the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations, expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by the United Arab Emirates. He emphasized that returnees forcibly displaced from their homes require further support.
The head of the Ministry stressed the need for the international community to pay special attention to the Afghan migrants’ situation. He urged countries worldwide to assist Afghanistan in addressing these challenges and providing aid to those in need.
Following the unprecedented return of Afghan migrants from Pakistan, the Taliban administration has stated that their migration affairs offices are registering them and referring them to the United Nations agencies for assistance.
The efforts of the Ministry of Migrant Affairs, coupled with international cooperation, aim to alleviate the plight of Afghan migrants and facilitate their reintegration into society.
