At 0740 the SE wind swell just off Botany Bay was 1.14 at 5.6 seconds apart. Those numbers tell the story that this morning’s snaps confirm: it’s right on the edge of being unsurfably tiny. Still, there’s nothing to stop you from going for a paddle this morning before the wind kicks up from the NE and really smashes it.
The Bureau tells us that swell will not improve to any great extent over the remainder of the work week in Sydney. And, it the ECMWF model is to be believed, the short period, tiny stuff may stick around in one form or another until around mid next week, when there seems to be some hope for a small SE pulse with offshores for the early.
