Earlier, the Higher Education Minister announced that he would skip the convocation of Madurai Kamaraj University held on November 3. A total of 5,302 undergraduates, 3,318 postgraduates, 1,042 vocational diploma holders, 82 diploma holders, and 24 Ph.D scholars get their degrees at the event
