The Week 10 spread for Giants-Cowboys is getting out of hand
It has been a rough season for the New York Giants so far. A surprise playoff team a year ago, the Giants lost 40-0 in Week 1 to the Dallas Cowboys and things have been downhill since.
Daniel Jones missed a few games due to injury, only to come back in Week 9 and tear his ACL in a 30-6 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. And backup QB Tyrod Taylor is on injured reserve.
That means undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito gets the start against the Cowboys this week. And he’ll do it as a whopping 16.5-point road underdog, the biggest spread in the NFL so far this season.
The Giants are no stranger to large spreads, having been double-digit underdogs in three games already, including the previous largest spread this season (+15.5 at Buffalo Bills). New York is 1-2 against the spread in those games.
The New York Giants are currently 16.5-point underdogs at the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10.
It's the largest spread this season, and biggest NFL 'dog since Texans were +17 at Cowboys in Week 11 last year

According to ESPN Stats & Information, it will be the first time in the common draft era that the Giants start an undrafted rookie QB in a non-strike game, and DeVito will be the 10th undrafted rookie to start at QB since 2010.
The Giants covered as 16.5-point underdogs in a 22-16 Week 17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last season. It is the largest spread since the Houston Texans were +17 at the Cowboys in Week 11 of the 2022 season.
So far, bettors are all over the Cowboys, with 81 percent of bets and 93 percent of total dollars wagered at DraftKings Sportsbook on Dallas to cover the big number.
How high can the line go?
