A CLEANING fanatic has revealed the unexpected item she uses to tackle mattress stains.

The home expert also showed her followers how the item can be used to polish various surfaces.

In her video, Carolina McCauley (@carolina.mccauley) demonstrated four different uses for a shower staple.

The TikTok user showed her viewers “how to clean using shaving cream.”

Carolina explained: “Shaving cream makes for an amazing cleaning product with many uses.”

For her first tip, she recommended using the cheap product, available for $2 at Walmart, to tackle mattress stains.

Carolina advised her audience to spray the cream on the stained area, spreading it evenly.

“Leave for 20 minutes and the stains should wipe away,” she explained to viewers.

Next, Carolina suggested using a dollop of shaving cream to clean your sink.

She told her audience the item “removes watermarks and makes your faucet shiny.”

Carolina also recommended buffing and polishing your mirrors with the hygiene product.

“It removes finger marks,” she explained to her followers.

For her final DIY shaving cream cleaning tip, Carolina revealed that she used the item on an often overlooked area of the home.

“Use it on brass handles for a glistening shine,” she advised her audience.
