People don’t think to clean a spot in their kitchen that gets ‘fuzzy’ – my ‘toddler backwash’ method makes it easy
A FORMER housekeeper has shared one of her best kept secrets for keeping the kitchen tidy when the situation gets hairy.
The cleaning whizz called the effective technique her “toddler backwash” method.
Vanesa Amaro (@vanesamaro91) filmed herself demonstrating the hack in a video on TikTok.
She addressed a part of the kitchen that is often overlooked even by the strictest of clean freaks.
“Things you didn’t know you were supposed to clean — the bottom of your kitchen faucet,” she said, filming the faucet.
“Just take a good look. It looks nice and fuzzy.
“For this, we’re going to need some vinegar. You’re also going to need a Ziplock bag and a tie,” she added.
She poured the vinegar into the Ziplock bag and tied it around the faucet.
“Now, you’re going to leave it in here for about 30 minutes, and when the vinegar looks like backwash water from your toddler, then you’re going to remove it,” she said, removing the bag.
“And it already looks so much better. But we’re going to take it one step further,” she added.
She went in to scrub the faucet even more, making it gleam.
“Dawn dish soap, a brush, and just go at it. Rinse it very well, and you should be good to go,” she added.
She reminded viewers to take a look at their sink to see if they missed a spot.
“When was the last time you cleaned your faucet? You might want to go look at it now,” she said.
The video drew in many viewers who shared their thoughts in the comment section.
“I just cleaned mine after watching your video,” one wrote. “Thank you.”
