Jamie Carragher blasts ‘thats not right, that’s not right’ as Man City win controversial penalty vs Chelsea
JAMIE CARRAGHER has blasted the decision to award Manchester City a penalty in the 25th minute of the game against Chelsea.
A penalty was given after Marc Cucurella was judged to have pulled Erling Haaland’s shirt as he looked to connect with a Bernardo Silva cross.
Jamie Carragher, who is on co-commentary for the match on Sky Sports disagreed with the decision by Anthony Taylor to award a penalty.
The former Liverpool defender immediately reacted: “That’s not right, that’s not right” after the decision was given.
He continued: “No, no, no. This isn’t right. The VAR has looked the end of the tussle. He needs to look at the start. This is very harsh.
“Haaland had a hold of him as well. I think that’s what gets him in front of him.”
