Yankes hire James Rowson as hitting coach

The New York Yankees hired James Rowson on Monday to replace Sean Casey as their hitting coach.

Rowson, 47, spent last season as the Detroit Tigers' assistant hitting coach.

He has also been the bench coach for the Miami Marlins (2020-22) and a hitting coach for the Minnesota Twins (2017-19) and Chicago Cubs (2012-13) in addition to a previous stint with the Yankees.
