Every new film and TV show hitting Netflix in 2024 – from Michelle Keegan thriller to Millie Bobby Brown movie
NETFLIX has released a list of its new movies and TV series landing on its platform in 2024, with plenty of blockbuster titles in store.
The streamer has revealed which Netflix Originals will be coming next year.
We’ve put together a list of the TV series and films hitting Netflix next year, including Michelle Keegan’s new heart-racing thriller Fool Me Once and Millie Bobby Brown in Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and Dan Mazeau’s American fantasy film Damsel.
All dates are subject to change, and the streaming giant has yet to confirm those marked with an asterisk.
Movies and TV Shows landing on Netflix in 2024:
TBC*: Damsel
Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and Dan Mazeau’s American fantasy thriller film stars Millie Bobby Brown, Angela Bassett, Robin Wright, Ray Winstone, Nick Robinson, Brooke Carter, and Shohreh Aghdashloo.
The story sees a dutiful damsel who agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to later discover it was all a trap to use her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt.
January 1: Fool Me Once
Michelle Keegan will be starring as the lead lady in the Netflix TV series adaptation of Harlen Coben’s book of the same name, Fool Me Once.
The new thriller series is directed by Harlan Coben, Danny Brocklehurst, Nicola Shindler, Richard Fee, Charlotte Coben, Yemi Oyefuwa, Nina Metivier and Tom Farrelly as writers.
It follows Maya Stern, a soccer mom/tarnished war hero played by Michelle, mourning the loss of her late husband Joe, played by Richard Armitage.
As Maya tries to return to normal, things get strange when she sets up a nanny cam to watch over her young daughter and sees Joe reappearing in the footage.
January 3: Delicious in Dungeon
This new Japanese fantasy comedy Anime manga series is written and illustrated by Ryōko Kui, and It tells the story of a group of friends that travel to a forbidden, cursed and buried kingdom to save their friend, all the while cooking up a storm as they make their way.
January 4: Society of the Snow
A biopic of the true story of the Uruguayan 1972 Andes flight disaster that crashed on a glacier in the Andes with a rugby team on board.
A few passengers survived, finding themselves in one of the world’s most challenging situations.
The Brothers Sun
Michelle Yeoh stars in this dark-action comedy television series created by Brad Falchuk, which sees the life of an average Bruce Sun turned upside down once his older brother, a ruthless killer, Charles Sun, visits Los Angeles to protect him and his mother.
January 5: Good Grief
Dan Levy is starring in his own new comedy feature film for Netflix, including stars Ruth Negga, Luke Evans, and Celia Imrie.
Gyeongseong Creature: Season 1 – Part 2
This upcoming K-drama, set in early 1945 when Korea was under Japanese colonial rule, infuses lush historical drama and mystery. The last three episodes of this K-drama centres around two young adults who encounter strange creatures and must fight for survival in the city of Gyeongseong — now known as Seoul.
January 11: Boy Swallows Universe
Limited series set in the 1980s originating from Australia.
January 12: Lift
Kevin Hart fronts this new hilarious heist-comedy, directed by Fridays F. Gary Gary.
January 19: Sixty Minutes
German martial arts action-packed movie.
The Kitchen
Kibwe Tavares & Daniel Kaluuya directed this British dystopian sci-fi thriller starring Top Boy’s Kano Robinson.
January 24: Queer Eye -Season 7
A new reality series that sees five advisors spend a week applying their expertise to help better someone else’s life.
Griselda
Limited series starring Sofía Vergara portraying the troubled, infamous Colombian female drug kingpin Griselda Blanco.
January 25: Masters of the Universe
The upcoming animation is a series follow-up which sees warrior leader He-Man travelling to Earth with his friends to stop the evil Skeletor from obtaining a cosmic key.
January 26: Badland Hunters
Director Heo Myung-haeng’s Korean action thriller feature film.
January 31*: The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse
A new sequel of the Japanese animated anime The Seven Deadly Sins. This new release, set in Britannia’s most infamous Holy Knights, focuses on a young boy named Percival, who discovers he is destined to be part of a group of four knights who destroy the world.
February TBD- Code 8: Part II
A sequel to the sci-fi feature starring Stephen and Robbie Amell. Jeff Chan will be directing and writing the script alongside Chris Paré, Sherren Lee and Jesse LaVercombe.
February 2: Orion and the Dark
Created by writer Charlie Kauffman, this new animated feature film follows a young boy who is afraid of almost everything but overcomes that with the help of fear itself.
February 16*- Rhythm + Flow Italy
New reality music competition series starring some big music industry names.
February 22: Avatar: The Last Airbender
The live-action adaptation of the beloved Nickelodeon anime series of the same name Avatar: The Last Airbender, follows Aang, a young Avatar, as he tries to learn to master the four elements, Water, Earth, and Fire, so that he can restore balance to a world threatened by the evil Fire Nation.
March 7: House of Ninjas
The upcoming Japanese TV thriller tells the story of the last ninjas to remain in modern times. Starring Kento Kaku and Yosuke Eguchi, the series is set to premiere in 2024.
March 11: Hot Wheels Let’s Race
A new children’s animated series set in the world of the popular kids’ toy HotWheels. This new series based on Mattel’s iconic Hot Wheels property mixes awesome vehicles, high-octane races and adventurous characters. A fun watch for the whole family
March 21: 3 Body Problem
The new sci-fi film from David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.
March (TBD): Di4ries (Season 2 – Part 2)
A heart-racing Italian coming-of-age series.
April 19: Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver
The sequel to Zack Snyder’s new fantasy space opera is about a colony on the edge of the universe fighting for survival against an unknown tyrannical ruling force.
April TBD: Dead Boy Detectives (Season 1)
Initially bound for HBO Max until Netflix jumped in and saved it, this new series is set in the same universe as Niel Gaiman’s The Sandman.
May 15: Blood of Zeus (Season 2)
Season 2 of the adult-animated series is based on Greek mythology following its first-ever debut in 2020.
November TBD: Arcane (Season 2):
Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell will return as sisters Vi and Jinx, while Katie Leung reprises her role as Caitlyn Kiramman. Arcane Season 2 will be created and produced by Linke alongside Marc Merrill, Brandon Beck, Jane Chung and Thomas Vu.
December TBD: That Christmas
This upcoming animated Christmas fantasy comedy film was produced by Locksmith Animation, animated by DNEG Animation and distributed by Netflix. It is directed by Simon Otto in his directorial debut and based on a series of children’s books by Richard Curtis.
