Human bones found in Akamas
Human bones and clothes were found in Akamas on Wednesday, the Paphos police said, after an officer who was out hunting with friends spotted them.
The officer was in a remote area of Akamas when he spotted the clothing and bones at around 11.00 am.
The Paphos police said that an anthropologist and a state pathologist came to the scene to investigate. They were brought in on a helicopter, due to the difficulty in reaching the area.
Police said based on evidence at the scene, it is possible that the bones belong to an individual missing since March.
