Noticeable changes were made to the exterior of the car making it look more modern.
New verticle LED headlights accompanied by thin T-shaped daytime running lights replace the horizontal lights found on the old model – similar to what you would find on the electric EV9.
The front grille has also been upgraded along with the bumper beneath – additionally a new skid plate to provide off-road protection.
The body of the car remains mostly unchanged with the only noticeable difference e seen on the redesigned bumper and new LED-tail lights.
Inside the seven-seater SUV, there has been a major tech upgrade.
A lot of inspiration has been taken from the Kia EV9 with a pair of curved 12.3-inch panoramic screens.
The new display will run on Kia’s latest software – which will include over-the-air updates and an option to use your phone as a smart key.
Kia’s latest software also promises to run faster than before.
The inside of the cars layout remains the same with three rows and a total of seven seats.
The Kia Sorento will carry over the last model’s engine which has 226bhp and a 1.6-litre hybrid engine – but will also have a more powerful 261bhp plug-in-hybrid giving drivers a choice.
All Sorentos will have four-wheel drive with an automatic gearbox.
And there’s the possibility that the diesel option will be removed from the UK market entirely.
The new Kia model is expected to hit the UK motor homes towards the middle of next year.
Prices are expected to start around the £40,000 region.
