The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has issued notices to authorities, including the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL), over a petition claiming a lack of protection works on the Gangotri National Highway in Uttarkashi district of Uttrakhand. The petition claims NHIDCL failed to take action for the construction of landslide protection galleries, slope protection work, and river protection work.
