Weghorst fires the Netherlands into the Euros

0
The final batch of international fixtures of 2023 is underway. In total, 14 TSG Hoffenheim players will be away with their national teams. Wout Weghorst played a decisive role in the Netherlands securing their qualification for the upcoming European Championship, and Andrej Kramarić also had cause to celebrate. Meanwhile, Ozan Kabak helped beat the German team under the direction of national coach Julian Nagelsmann. tsg-hoffenheim.de has the lowdown on the games involving the internationals below.

The Netherlands will be at the Euros in Germany next year – and Wout Weghorst was the man who sent them on their way. The TSG striker scored the only goal in the Oranje's 1-0 win against Ireland.

Andrej Kramarić's Croatia also took a big step toward the Euros. After their 2-0 win in Latvia and Wales' 1-1 draw against Armenia, the side who took bronze at the 2022 World Cup jumped to second place in the table. Andrej Kramarić scored the second goal for Croatia, who can now secure qualification with a victory against Armenia on Tuesday.

The battle of TSG players did not materialise, but the one who did make it on to the pitch left Berlin a happy man: Ozan Kabak's Turkey defeated the German national team. Julian Nagelsmann's team were beaten 3-2 in Berlin. While Ozan Kabak was on the pitch for the entire match, Grischa Prömel and Oliver Baumann will have to continue to wait for their debut in the Germany senior side.
