Man, 18, critically injured in Waterbury shooting

An 18-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting in Waterbury on Saturday night, police said.

The man was dropped off at the Saint Mary’s Hospital emergency room with a gunshot wound about 7:31 p.m., according to the Waterbury Police Department.

Investigators said they believe that he was shot in the area of North Main Street near Kingsbury Street, but are still investigating.

The man was in critical condition as of Sunday morning, police said.
