NFL fans were amused by how C.J. Stroud utilized other sports for his pregame warmup routine
C.J. Stroud’s meteoric rise into superstardom hasn’t been lost by anyone in the NFL sphere. It’s to the point where the rookie quarterback probably has a legitimate case at unthinkably winning MVP in his first season as a professional signal-caller. As it turns out, the young man has partly built his profile through a somewhat unconventional warmup routine.
In a video from NFL on CBS, Stroud is featured utilizing various sports — namely, basketball and golf — to prepare his body for various throwing motions against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. At first, you might think it looks a bit silly.
But there should be nothing inherently crazy about a difference-making quarterback finding a smart way to warm his body up for the rigors of an NFL game:

Whatever Stroud did here clearly worked wonders yet again. Through one half against Arizona, Stroud had 259 passing yards … or more than all other 15 teams playing games in Week 11. I mean … just look at this dime to Tank Dell:

Rookie or otherwise, Stroud is on another level right now. I have zero skepticism about any way he chooses to prepare because he’s pushing all the right buttons.
