I’m A Celeb’s Jordan North ‘dragged out of hotel kicking and screaming’ in epic boozy fail
I’M A Celeb runner-up Jordan North was once dragged out of a hotel “kicking and screaming” after being so drunk he accidentally broke into another guest’s room.
Jordan, who co-hosts the Drive Time slot alongside Vick Hope on Radio 1, has used his new book Help, I Sexted My Boss to lift the lid on his wild ways.
Written alongside best friend and etiquette coach William Hanson, the book is a guide to real life problems based on the duo’s popular podcast of the same name.
In the book, Jordan recalls: “A good night is when you can barely remember what happened and I’ve had many of them . . . I think, I can’t remember!
“After our Glasgow show in 2020 I went to meet a friend and I was so drunk I accidentally broke into someone’s room got dragged out by security and bundled into a lift kicking and screaming but I never get in lifts because I’m so claustrophobic.
“Eventually at 5am I crawled into bed next to William. I’ve got myself into some states but it’s all part of the fun.”
Another eventful night saw Jordan “carried out by four bouncers – one on each of my legs and arms” for being a little too merry.
However, the party days are now over for the TV regular – especially with social media meaning it’s all but impossible for stars to go under the radar.
Jordan told me: “It was before I was on Radio 1 or I’m A Celeb. I got away with it so I am pretty lucky. I’m actually pretty boring now. I don’t tend to go to clubs. Not even members’ clubs – I’m not actually a member of any. William and I do go to bars.”
In fact, in contrast to pint-loving Jordan, William has never sunk a single cold one in all his adult years.
He added: “I hate beer. I don’t like the smell. When I first met Jordan I was teetotal . . . he’s driven me to drink.
“When I first started the podcast I was very nervous. I would get things cut if they sounded too crude.
“I was convinced I’d never work again in my actual job as an etiquette coach.”
