A group of 24 individuals, including Ankur Gupta, an MBA graduate, has been arrested for operating a call centre in Ghaziabad. The call centre deceived US citizens by falsely claiming to renew policies or provide technical assistance. The gang obtained phone numbers and insurance records from the dark web and made random calls, directing targets to make payments in dollars.
