Ex-Mountain View school teacher arrested on suspicion of inappropriately touching student

MOUNTAIN VIEW – A former Mountain View elementary school teacher was arrested Monday on suspicion of inappropriately touching a student several years ago, according to police.

Detectives launched an investigation in October after the student came forward and shared the allegations, the Mountain View Police Department said in a news release.

The student said the teacher – Bryan Rios, 42, of Santa Clara – inappropriately touched them during class when they attended Theuerkauf Elementary School several years ago, according to police.

Police said Rios no longer works at the school.

Rios was arrested without incident Monday in Santa Clara, according to police.
