The department of town and country planning (DTCP) in Gurgaon has issued fines amounting to over Rs 7 lakh to the owners of 16 properties for violating Graded Action Response Plan (GRAP) rules. These violations include carrying out construction activities despite a ban, transporting construction material without covering it, and not carrying out water sprinkling. Show-cause notices have also been served to the owners. The DTCP has appointed duty magistrates to tackle GRAP violations and has set up a helpline for residents to report complaints.
