Sixteen people, including five women, were arrested by the UP special task force and Noida police for cheating US citizens from a call center. The suspects stole personal information from the dark web and then posed as service providers to obtain PINs and transfer money from the victims' bank accounts. The main accused, Nitin Srivastava, is still at large. The police seized multiple assets and the suspects have been booked under various IPC sections and the IT Act.
