Israeli forces say they are clearing areas of northern Gaza, explains FRANCE 24’s Irris Makler, reporting from Jerusalem. In southern Gaza, the situation in Khan Younis is “very fraught” explains Makler. “Israel has said it’s expanding [military operations] to the south and Khan Younis is significant,” said Makler, noting that Jordan is bringing in medical equipment to build a field hospital around southern Gaza’s largest city. “It’s also the area where Israel is dropping leaflets telling people to leave."
