Bulgarian prosecutors open probe into FA president Borislav Mihaylov
November 21 – Bulgarian prosecutors have begun an investigation into the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) and its president Borislav Mihaylov (pictured).
That investigation was announced after a series of protests by Bulgarian fans against Mihaylov’s 18-year reign at the head of the federation.
Matters came to ahead in Sofia last week when what started as a peaceful fan protest turned violent before the Bulgaria-Hungary Euro 2024 qulaifier that was played behind close doors.
