Princess Kate Middleton Pops in Vibrant Red Gianvito Rossi Pumps With Prince William for Korea State Visit
Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, brought her signature heels a monochrome twist while hosting her latest state visit.
On Monday, Middleton and Prince William awaited the arrival of Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife, Kim Keon Hee, during their state visit to London. For the occasion, the royal wore a sleek pair of Gianvito Rossi’s “Gianvito 105” pumps — a pointed-toe style with closed counters and 4.1-inch stiletto heels.
The classic $795 Rossi shoe — which Middleton owns in five colors herself — was complete with smooth, red suede uppers. The vibrant hue added a burst of color to the otherwise formal silhouette, bringing it an optimistic and festive flair.
Middleton’s footwear for the occasion served as a monochrome base for the rest of her ensemble, which was also a similar shade of red: a bow-topped Catherine Walker coatdress, as well as the long-sleeved piece’s matching cape. The set was formally accented with a red Jane Walker London hat and bow-accented Miu Miu clutch.
For a dash of sparkle, Middleton finished her look with a pair of diamond and sapphire earrings — which had notably belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
Middleton is more typically seen in pointed-toe pumps from Emmy London, Jimmy Choo and Stuart Weitzman, among others. Her go-to style is Gianvito Rossi’s “Gianvito 105” pumps, which she owns in five colors. In addition to her royal rotation of heels, the princess also wears affordable all-white sneakers from New Balance, Adidas, Superga and Zara on and off duty.
