San Anselmo business struck by vehicle

A vehicle struck a downtown San Anselmo shop, shattering the window but causing no injuries, according to the Ross Valley Fire Department.

The incident happened at about 12:20 p.m. Monday at Sugarfoot Books Inc. at 615 San Anselmo Ave., said fire department Battalion Chief Jake Peterson. The driver of a Toyota 4Runner backed into a parked car and then the storefront.

Peterson said the incident was determined to be an accident and that intoxication was not suspected as a factor.
