NBC picks Paul Azinger's replacement for Hero World Challenge

NBC has promoted Curt Byrum into the lead analyst role for next week's Hero World Challenge, replacing Paul Azinger.

Byrum, 64, won his lone PGA Tour event at the Hardee's Golf Classic in 1989 and has worked as an analyst for the Golf Channel since 2001.

Azinger's contract was not renewed after serving as the broadcaster's lead analyst since Johnny Miller retired in 2019.
