Ed Bailey’s gambling secret exposed as dad Sarge arrives on Coronation Street
MONEY is a growing cause for concern for Ed Bailey but he remains silent as speaking out would mean facing his gambling addiction.
However, the Coronation Street builder will soon have to come clean as his father Sarge makes his debut on the cobbles next week.

But in an unexpected twist, Ed’s demons came back with a vengeance in recent scenes of the Manchester-based drama and he went as far as to impersonate the late Norris Cole.
Next week on ITV, the character played by Trevor Michael Georges is pushed closer to the edge as his father Sarge arrives in the cobbles.
TV legend Ram John Holder takes on the new role of the Bailey partiarch, as it was teased months ago.
Upon Sarge’s arrival, his other son Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) suggests a big family meal out, insisting they’ll pick up the tab, while Ed masks his panic.
Later on, having taken out a payday loan, Ed scans the racing pages.
As the Baileys gather in the bistro, Ed surreptitiously watches the racing on his phone, while Sarge makes digs about his business brain.
Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) quietly explains to her boyfriend Joel Deering (Calum Lill) that her entire family is keeping a massive secret from Sarge.
According to her, Sarge thinks they lost their house because of a bad business decision and not because of Ed’s gambling.
Sadly, they may all have to come clean when Ed sweats after losing his bet.
Ronnie pays for lunch, telling Ed he can give him his half later.
Later on, Ed finds Tony and admits he can’t pay him because he’s a gambling addict and has lost all his money.
