Prince William & Kate Middleton’s Latest PDA Moment Demonstrates Just How United They Are

It’s been quite a year for Prince William and Kate Middleton. In 2023, the royal couple settled into their new roles as the Prince and Princess of Wales, took on new responsibilities as senior members of the British royal family, and balanced their duties while raising their three children. In spite of all the scrutiny they deal with, Kate and William have proven they are a united front, and the couple’s recent PDA moment said so much about their strong, close bond.

During a tour of the Buckingham Palace Picture Gallery for the President of the Republic of Korea’s state visit, Kate and William were spotted wrapping their arms around one another. In a video captured by royal reporter Rebecca English, the Prince of Wales is seen resting his hand on the small of his wife’s back. Kate turns to William, and they share a glance, before she wraps her arm around her husband’s waste. You can watch the tender moment HERE.

These sweet pockets of intimacy that William and Kate share in public are pretty rare. But as the couple’s ascended to more prominent roles in the royal family, thereby taking on more public engagements, we’ve see quite a few more public displays of affection than we’re accustomed to. We have a feeling, though, there’s a reason why.

We can only imagine the stress this couple has been under over the course of the last few years. Family tensions, gossipy rumors, public criticism, and their day-to-day itineraries could bog the two down. Through it all, though, William and Kate have been united, carrying on their duties and standing by one another.
