Another (un)manic Monday
Hello Friends,
More of the same on the surf front this morning. Despite the 10-14 kts of south wind, Dee Why was looking reasonably clean at 0730. Unfortunately despite a healthy 16-second period the metre or so of south swell was not making itself felt when I grabbed the snaps. With that very long period however, I wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t the odd noticeable set at the magnets. But of course you’ll be doing a lot of waiting.
The Bureau tells us that we could see a low making itself felt on Wednesday – which of course could mean energy for us to play with.
Weather Situation
A trough is bringing a southerly change to the southern half of the New South Wales coast, while a high over the Tasman Sea directs northerly winds over the remainder. The trough will move north slightly, stalling over the Mid North Coast. During Tuesday, this gradually decays as a new ridge develops over the southern Tasman Sea. A low pressure system is expected to cross southern New South Wales early in the week before reaching the coast on Wednesday, likely generating vigorous winds and increased seas for southern areas.
