In the upcoming Telangana polls, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Congress are engaged in a direct battle, with incumbent BRS leader Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao seeking a third term. While the BJP, not poised to secure power independently, could play a crucial role if the BRS-Congress contest ends in a tie. However, some believe the BJP might disrupt the electoral landscape for the two primary parties in numerous constituencies. In the 2018 state polls, the BJP secured only one seat out of 119, but in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, it gained four seats and a 19.7% vote share.
