Everyone said my Amazon dress was ‘too inappropriate for a wedding’ but I wore it anyway, your comments don’t hurt me
A FITNESS influencer has claimed that people criticized her for wearing a wedding guest dress from Amazon.
Even though haters said the ensemble was “inappropriate,” the exercise guru wasn’t discouraged.
TikToker Madi Ditler (@madiditler) created a video to call out people who didn’t like her dress, a popular Skims dupe.
She rewrote one of the comments she received.
It read: “That dress is too casual and inappropriate for a wedding.”
Madi made a heart with her hands and then pretended like it broke in half.
Then she danced to the song Heartbroken by T2 & ARPA and gave the camera two middle fingers.
“On another note, the invitation said ‘casual’ so I fit right in,” she captioned the post.
In her first video about the dress, Madi said she was “obsessed” with the Skims dupe, created by AnotherChill.
It’s currently on sale for $20.
Madi wasn’t the only one who loved the outfit. The dress has a rating of 4.5 from more than 5,700 reviews on Amazon.
The combative remarks were posted after Madi asked her followers for fashion advice.
She bought the dress in black, brown, and green but wasn’t sure which color she should wear.
“You look really good in all of them, but these aren’t appropriate for a wedding,” one person said.
“You’re a gorgeous girl and they all look bomb but they’re just not giving me wedding guest vibes at all,” a second added.
“Green one is the best but none of them for the wedding they arnt wedding guest dresses more like clubbing going out dresses,” a third wrote.
Madi reiterated that the wedding was casual and that jeans were allowed.
Ultimately, she ignored the trolls and went with the green dress.
