Nella Rose branded ‘the new Gillian McKeith’ as Ant takes a swipe at I’m A Celeb star after chaotic trial
FANS have branded Nella Rose ‘the new Gillian McKeith’ over her dismal performance in the latest I’m A Celebrity trial that saw Ant McPartlin admit he was left “furious”.
The YouTuber, 26, had been chosen to take part in the latest trial on the show alongside jockey Frankie Dettori but the pair failed to win any stars.
From the get-go, it was clear that Nella appeared ‘clueless’ as to how best to tackle the challenge.
It saw Frankie locked in the dark with a series of snakes as he had to inform his co-star of a combination of four number to be entered into a padlock in order to retrieve a gold coin to take to the show’s vending machine.
However, with little to no strategy, Nella failed to secure any of the correct codes and ultimately picked up no gold coins for her camp.
Fans were left branding the trial as “painful to watch” on X – formerly Twitter – with Ant and Dec grimacing as it appeared their patience was wearing thin during the challenge.
Comparing Nella to Gillian McKeith, famed for her poor performance in the show’s trials, one viewer said: “I don’t know what’s worse Gillian McKeith‘s fake fainting or Nella’s zero effort attempt at the trial.”
Another added: “Wasn’t Nella terrified of snakes a week ago?”
A third then penned: “No strategy from Nella there. They’d have been better getting the snakes to do the padlocks.”
As the show cut back to the studio, Ant really let his feelings known as he let rip at Nella and Frankie and her effort in the trial.
He said: “I’m just gonna say it, I’m very angry about how they performed in that trial!
“What was the strategy man?”
As Dec insisted they moved on, Ant then got more wound up as he added, in jest: “Okay, I’m not angry – I’m furious!
“How could they do such a terrible job?
“What the hell is wrong with these people? It’s driving me insane.
“All of you [the crew] work so hard on making the trial so good…”
His rant continued as Dec laughed and attempted to move the show on by introducing the next trial.
The pair then participated in some “mindfulness” in order to calm down after the disaster trial.
